GENERAL:

GOING GREEN

In the future, students need to bring a Thumb Drive of 64G or larger to class to download the class information. Instead of wasting money/time and resources on DVD’s and cases, I will have a multi-port USB attached to the classroom or shop computer that allows students to do a quick transfer to their USB.

THE CSAT WAY ON FACEBOOK AND PATREON

We continue to work on new video content for both the Patreon Operator and Patreon Instructor. As of 1 Jan 2022, we had 170 videos on the site.

We wanted to stock the pond so to speak for the first year. We will slow a bit in adding content as some of the videos will take more time and resources to develop. One will be a well-rounded gym workout series targeting strength and endurance without injury.

I want to add more instructor content and that will require extra live bodies to work with in shooting those videos. I look forward to the challenges.

THE WORLD

The Ukrainians are still battling the Russians.

It looks like the Russians are trying the old “pincher” movement in the East, like they did against the Germans at the battle of Kursk in WWII.

Key players are getting involved and getting a chance to test all their new technology and hardware in the conflict. Everything from drones to smart munitions are being used. It also looks like cross border raids are taking place as deep as 100 kilometers into Russia proper.

We are seeing what technology the Russians really do have. They might have just wanted to get rid of their old hardware in phase I of this ordeal only to bring out their good stuff at a later time. We have done the same. Send Cobras and keep the Apache’s out of the line of fire. Use up your old stuff first.

6.8 VS. THE 5.56

I am already getting information requests on my thoughts reference the 6.8.

In short, up close, anything would be better. I will talk about:

• People

• Animals

• Vehicles/Glass

• Distance

• Standards/Training

I read the stats and they look okay. Until I shoot one on animals, normally pigs, I don’t rush to judgement. I would like to have one AR platform that I could use against people and animals. It keeps my life simple.

I think it will definitely transfer more energy on people, so this is a plus. Especially at Close Quarter Battle (CQB) Distances. This deficiency was brought up almost 30 years ago after the Somalia raids. I guess better late than never.

Reference animals, until I see the results, I will hold my judgement.

It will do better on vehicles and with some bonded bullets, glass will not be an issue. Some solids will likely punch the doors with ease, similar to the 7.62 x 39.

I am not sure how the distance equation will play out. I think the 5.56 will do better at longer distances, but many soldiers cannot make their hits, so this point can be debated.

Standards and training will have to be modified a bit, mostly standards. Felt recoil will be the biggest adjustment for the shooter. This translates to multiple shot drills and times. We might have to do away with the 5 body/1 head with the rifle and leave it at 2 body, 1 head and adjust the times for the recoil. The same would apply to the 100, 75, 50, 25. If more energy is transferred, then two or three shot drills might be in order with faster overall times.

Hopefully someone with some knowledge made good decisions. Will I rush out and buy it? No. Not until I see more data.

Currently, my personal favorite is the Wilson Combat .300 HAMR. If I had one choice in weapon for hunting and defense, this would be my pick from my experience. I have shot many a pig with it and also watched it drop big Sika Deer with one shot.

THE LEFT

The Left/Democrats continue to fight their fantasy fight for perceived social injustice. In reality, they are alienating sane people who might have had a bit of compassion for past issues, but now they realize the insanity. Democrats might as well be called the “pedophile” party as they now cater to the perverts of the world. They are grasping at straws to maintain control in a world that rejects them and their skewed views.

The left has infiltrated schools and parents need to beware of the indoctrination. Teachers bringing their personal agendas to class need to be fired. One option is for school boards to adopt “Reading Committees” to read all proposed publications that teachers wish to submit. This way there is an independent group of parents that do have a say in what is being taught to their kids. In my case, grandkids.

The only way to stop them is to get involved locally. Conservatives in positions on School Boards, City Councils, State Boards of Education will all help in stopping the insanity.

STUDENT LOAN DEBT

The Left wishes to create a generation of entitled socialists. Entitled for now that is. When the Government and Education conspire to control the youth of today, they do several things.

Frist, they dumb down the Education System and actually toxify it. Students never learn how the economy works. Keep the masses ignorant. True History, Economics and Civics should be mandatory. Purge the leftist professors and teachers who burrow into the educational welfare system like a tick.

Next, they fail to teach responsibility for one’s actions and contract. When in the Military, I went to college and put some classes and even books on credit cards, which I paid off. I was

a sole breadwinner E-8 living on the economy, going to school with two kids. It is tough, but can be done.

Colleges are a business. Make them responsible for student debt. If the government owns it, there is no control or too much control, depending on the administration. Colleges should be run like a business and produce a quality curriculum that brings in students and where business owners recognize the quality of students and hire them. It is a win-win.

If a student defaults on their loans, make them declare bankruptcy and start over.

TWITTER

I can honestly say I was not on Twitter as it was one more leftist control media platform that I did not want to be subject to. With that, I have said in the past that conservatives need to invest in the media to change the information flows to the American people and the world. This is crucial to cut the government indoctrination and leftist views from a continual bombardment.

This appears to be a good thing from all the liberal tears that are flowing and all the butt hurt that is being felt from the left-wing loons. More should follow Elon’s lead.

ONCE FIRED BRASS

I have buckets of once fired mostly 9mm and 5.56 brass for sale if anyone is interested.

Mark and Jamie are working on a version that would be good in a soldier's vest or hand.

Sizing is important and I look forward to the final product.

CLASS UPDATES:

In the Fall, I may switch the Pistol AIT to a one-day Rifle Low Light and a one-day Pistol Low light. I would make the Rifle AIT a private class. More to follow as I am looking at how this daylight savings plan plays out.
